Why the company exists

Ambitions First Care Ltd was set up to provide residential accommodation and everyday support for young people who need somewhere stable to live while the rest of their life is being worked out. Registered in England and Wales, we operate as a small provider with a deliberately narrow focus: young people, residential settings, and the daily work that keeps a placement steady.

We are not a large group with a central template. The people who plan a placement are the people who know the young person’s name, and we think that matters in a service where trust is the working material.

What we do, stated plainly

We provide accommodation, day-to-day support, help with education and health appointments, support to build independence skills, and structured reporting back to the people who commission the placement. We do not provide clinical treatment, and we are not a secure setting. Where a young person needs something we cannot deliver, we say so and work with partners to find it.

  • Residential accommodation for young people
  • Daily routine and independence support
  • Education liaison and appointment support
  • Safeguarding, recording and reporting to placing teams

Our values

Six things we ask of ourselves

Values are only useful if they can be checked. Each of these has something concrete behind it.

Ico Heart

Respect without conditions

Support does not depend on a young person being appreciative, compliant or easy to be around. It is not a reward for good behaviour.

Ico Clipboard

Honesty in the record

We write down what happened, including the parts that reflect badly on us. A record that only contains successes is of no use to a young person’s future.

Ico Users

Consistency over intensity

The same adults, the same expectations, the same routines. Predictability does more work than enthusiasm.

Ico Compass

The young person’s own direction

Plans are made with the young person, not announced to them. Their view is recorded even when we disagree with it.

Ico Leaf

Ordinary life matters

Football on a Tuesday, a birthday cake, a Saturday job. A placement is a life, not a programme of interventions.

Ico Shield

Safety is not negotiable

Where safety and convenience conflict, safety wins. That applies to staffing, activities and to what we agree to take on.

How the company is organised

Ambitions First Care Ltd is registered in England and Wales under company number 16540792. Day-to-day decisions sit with the people running the home. Operational policies — safeguarding, recording, recruitment, complaints, health and safety — are held in writing and reviewed on a fixed cycle.

We keep a clear separation between the person who supports a young person day to day and the person who reviews that work, so that reviews are not simply a second opinion from the same pair of eyes.

Working with placing teams

Every placement has an agreed reporting arrangement. That includes the routine (weekly or monthly summaries, depending on what has been commissioned) and the exceptional (incidents, safeguarding concerns, absences and significant changes).

Referrers are given a named contact who can answer questions between formal reviews. If that person is on leave, the covering arrangement is stated rather than discovered.

Questions about the company or a placement?

We are happy to answer questions before a referral is made, including the ones that make referrers look cautious.
